Sociabble Helps One-O-One to Transform Intensive Care with the SECOND LIFE Platform

Sociabble is both proud and honored to partner with One-O-One and contribute toward the improvement of intensive care services.

SECOND LIFE is the first social network dedicated exclusively to those involved in medical recovery – enabling patients, their families, and loved ones to share their experiences and find the support they need to “live better” during and after intensive care. Sociabble is both proud and honored to help build this community.

Healthcare matters. And intensive care is at the heart of it.

There are many facets of medical care, and few are more important than intensive care. However, it is a medical field that is not well known by the general public, despite the fact that it includes aspects of almost every medical discipline.

Central to the operation of the hospital, intensive care is a specialty in which the quality of care and the performance of the teams are decisive for the recovery of the patient. Both have to work together in harmony to achieve success.

Every year around the world, more than 30 million patients are admitted to intensive care, usually with a directly life-threatening prognosis. For them and often their families, the word “tomorrow” takes on a whole new meaning, as its very existence becomes dependent on the expertise of the medical teams who provide the care.

Intensive care needs are increasing all over the world, with a 40% increase in the number of patients expected by 2030. To accommodate this increase, it’s imperative that the support system is equipped, staffed, and ready. But up until now, few organizations or initiatives have been willing to tackle this problem head-on.

The objective of One-O-One

Created in 2018, 101 (One-O-One) is the only international endowment fund dedicated entirely to the progress of intensive care.

Its objective? To ensure a quality tomorrow for all patients by improving practices, accelerating research and facilitating the development of precision intensive care.

The world of healthcare is undergoing a revolution thanks to the intersection of biology and technology, influenced daily by digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence.

Faced with these clearly identified facts, 101 has devised new approaches in terms of education and research to support the transformation of general recovery towards precision rehabilitation through an innovative strategic program based on 3 components.

SECOND LIFE, the intensive care and aftercare network

Today, 101 has launched SECOND LIFE, the first network dedicated exclusively to medical recovery professionals, with the Sociabble solution to help them “live better” during and after intensive care.

SECOND LIFE aims to create a community that brings together all those who live and breathe the experience of intensive care: patients, relatives, and healthcare teams, in a safe, caring environment.

For patients and loved ones, this initiative aims to enable them to exchange with a community that shares their daily lives, to consult testimonials, exchange advice or share their experience, in order to find the support they need to accompany them throughout the recovery process after their treatment.

For caregivers, SECOND LIFE offers a unique space for interaction with those going through intensive care, to exchange feelings, memories of their stay, but also all the things they may have experienced in their “second life” after recovery. SECOND LIFE also enables them to keep abreast of the latest scientific developments thanks to dedicated, evidence-based content, as well as meeting their peers and exchanging best practices to broaden their perspectives beyond their department.

Sociabble, tech sponsor of the SECOND LIFE platform

Sociabble is proud and honored to contribute to the progress of intensive care, alongside One-O-One, by partnering with them to create their digital communication platform, SECOND LIFE.

According to Jean-Louis Bénard, CEO of Sociabble: “The private sector has a responsibility to support initiatives that have a direct and lasting impact on people’s lives. The environment and advances in medical care are two battles that Sociabble has chosen to take on. This is why we support One-O-One through SECOND LIFE, which is an effective way to change the lives of patients and the daily lives of caregivers in the field.

SECOND LIFE is a platform that takes advantage of all the advanced features of Sociabble: content creation, photo and video sharing, aggregation of content from social networks, surveys, and more.

Advice, testimonials, motivational content, and specialized information are all broadcast on channels dedicated to target users (patients, relatives, or caregivers in intensive care), creating an online community where all parties can participate and share.
