Twitter Introduces a Richer Photo Experience

Yesterday Twitter announced that it has introduced a “richer photo experience” on the platform. Whereas previously photos shared within tweets were cropped, they are now displayed in their original size, so that users can view them “as they were meant to be viewed”.

The social media giant began life as an all-text platform but is now moving along with the times. Visual content is by far the most engaging form of content on social networks, so Twitter is addressing users’ desire to share and engage with images.

They also announced the arrival of “larger, more beautiful multi-photo displays, which bring out more of each photo”. You can read the announcement in full here.

This is the latest in a series of announcements for the social media platform; earlier in the year the platform introduced Moments in the US, and raised the follow limit from 2,000 to 5,000.
